TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- The United Way of the Big Bend's Young Philanthropist's Circle hosted their annual "Extreme Makeover: Agency Edition."
The Young Philanthropist's Circle is for professionals under the age of 40, who are interested in philanthropy and networking. YPC members makeover a local United Way of the Big Bend non-profit agency.
This year it was the Big Bend Homeless Coalition. The chair of the organization explained how the group helped out.
"We did a complete makeover of their family area as well as their childrens area and library. It's very much like the ABC show "Extreme Makeover," so it's very similar to that and we thought it turned out very well", said Josh Desha.
YPC's Extreme Makeover has improved a number of local non-profit agencies over the last 7 years.
