TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- Businesses and community members gathered at Tom Brown Park to wish the United States a "Happy Birthday" with its annual "Celebrate America" festival.
There were a ton of fun events and activities for both children and adults. Local food trucks were available from all over Tallahassee.
One organizer explained why this celebration isn't just your average Fourth of July party.
"We're here to celebrate the 4th of July and Independence day. One thing that's really unique about this event is that we do the naturalization ceremony. So it really brings it home, what we're celebrating today."
The city had a budget of $20,000 to make all the festivities come to life. The night ended with a spectacular fireworks display.
