BOSTON, Ga. (WTXL) - The 35th annual Boston (GA) Mini-Marathon and Festival is quickly approaching. The signature event for South Georgia will take place over three days, Oct. 24, 25 and 26, 2014.
The cook-off begins Friday night, Oct. 24 with winners announced the next day. Judging begins Saturday at noon and winners will be announced at 3 PM. Categories are butts, ribs and best overall. Cash prizes are awarded.
Also Friday night will feature the Ozell Road band. Their performance begins at 7:30 p.m. in Watt Park. Bring your lawn chair or blanket.
On Saturday, Oct. 25 is the run/walk events which will begin at 8:00 a.m. That will be followed by arts/crafts/food vendors opening at 9:00 a.m. The parade begins at 11:30 A.M.
A trail ride is planned for Sunday, Oct. 26.
Vendors and participants can still take part in the festivities.
