TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The City of Tallahassee is holding its biannual 'Cash for Trash' collection event on Saturday, October 17, 2015 from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the City's Sold Waste Services Facility, 2727 Municipal Way.
The program allows city residential utility customers to drop off unwanted household items that are too large to fit in a garbage container, in exchange for a $5 credit toward their utility bill.
To receive the credit, participants must present a City of Tallahassee utility bill before unloading materials.
They will also be accepting household hazardous waste and electronic items.
No yard waste will be accepted.
