COLQUITT, Ga. (WTXL) -- Swamp Gravy is back!
Swamp Gravy is Georgia's official folk-life play.
It's put on each year by the The Colquitt/Miller Arts Council, or CMAC.
The show, now in its 23rd year, features local stories, volunteer actors, and home-grown music.
The upcoming October performance? "Swamp Gravy: Order In The Court."
It tells true tales of life in and around Miller County's courthouse, and organizers say this show has it all: fires, courtroom antics, shocking cases, unforgettable characters, and maybe even a few ghosts in the basement.
According CMAC, "The juries have returned their verdicts, but you be the judge: was that incident at the VFW justifiable or just jealousy? Was the Judge driven by love, or obsession? Was the sentence on that drug charge overly harsh, or very compassionate? Whatever your verdict, these stories are all the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth!"
"Swamp Gravy: Order In The Court" runs October 9 through October 24. You can catch it Fridays at 7:30 p.m., and Saturdays at 2 p.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Everything's at the the Cotton Hall Theater (158 E Main Street in Colquitt, Georgia). Tickets are $22.
