TALLAHASSEE, FL- A group committed to releasing wrongly convicted prisoners is putting on an event to raise money for the cause.
Executive Director of the Innocence Project of Florida Seth Miller tells us about The Innocence Project Annual Dinner called Steppin' Out with The Innocence Project of Florida.
The Innocence Project is the group who has made local, state and national headlines by allowing the release of wrongly convicted prisoners based DNA evidence.
Some of their clients have been in prison wrongly accused of crimes they didn't commit for more than 25 years.
Only new DNA technology has allowed this to occur.
Sometimes the DNA shows the right person is behind bars, but for the few who are wrongly accused it's been life changing.
