BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL) -- A holiday tradition in back in Bainbridge.
The Downtown Bainbridge Holiday Open House is years in the making, always on the Sunday before Thanksgiving.
It's a way to bring the community together to encourage shopping and supporting local business as the holiday season starts.
Since 1991, there's been another special attraction: the annual Mary Barber Cox Christmas ornament.
Each year's ornament features a pen and ink drawing by local artist Mary Barber Cox.
She passed away last year, but organizers are still carrying on the tradition. They say this year's ornament has a special tribute to Mrs. Cox.
The ornaments are $8 and sold at all the businesses taking part in the Downtown Bainbridge Holiday Open House.
The Downtown Bainbridge Holiday Open House is Sunday, November 22 from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m. all through Downtown Bainbridge.
