TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Challenger Learning Center is ready to celebrate the holidays on the big screen.

Experience the Aurora opens Friday, November 20, and plays daily through January.

The family-friendly film looks at the Northern Lights through time-lapse footage captured in the Arctic Circle.  "For the first time, the aurora has been captured as it was meant to be experienced, as a display that covers the entire sky.  This immersive show shares the science behind the aurora and tells the story of the quest to find and photograph the aurora for full-dome theaters."

And of course you can also catch the seasonal Let it Snow.

The holiday spectacular features festive classics from Frank Sinatra and Chuck Berry to Burl Ives and Brenda Lee, and includes a stunning multi-media finale by the Trans Siberian Orchestra.

There's also thematic animation, laser imagery, special effects and all-dome scenery thanks to the the Digital Dome Theatre and Planetarium.

Organizers say Let it Snow is created and produced by Clark Planetarium, who created other Tallahassee holiday favorite, Holiday Music Magic.

Let it Snow runs from  November 27 through January 3.

Everything is at the Challenger Learning Center of Tallahassee (200 S. Duval Street). Tickets are $5 for adults, $4.75 for students and seniors and $4.25/ for children.
