THOMASVILLE, Ga. (WTXL) -- A holiday classic is coming back to the stage, this time with a new spin.
The South Georgia Ballet is putting on The Nutcracker for its 18th season.
The performance features more than 50 local dancers, aged 9 to 18. There are also world-renowned guest artists from Cincinnati Ballet, Cervilio Armador and Jackie Damico.
Artistic Director Melissa June says she wanted to update the holiday classic. There will be new choreography and new costumes.
June and Sophi Sampson, who plays Clara, joined us on WTXL Sunrise. Click the thumbnail to see the interview.
