TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - The next date for Local Business Saturday is this Saturday, September 13, 2014.
This month's Local Business Saturday is at a new location in Tallahassee. It will begin at 11:00 a.m. at Southern Comfort in the Miracle Shopping Plaza Center on Thomasville Road, near the Whole Foods.
Mayor John Marks and Tallahassee's First Lady Jane Marks will be joined by FSU Interim President Doctor Garnett Stokes, FAMU President Doctor Elmira Mangum, and TCC President Jim Murdaugh.
The Local Business Saturday program is meant to boost Tallahassee's economy and spotlight local businesses in the area. It occurs on the second Saturday of every month.
More than 100 Tallahassee businesses participate and offering savings on Local Business Saturday.
