TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - This Thursday is United Way's 75th Annual Campaign Kickoff.
Today on Second Cup, Molly Lord, VP of Resource Development and Glenda Thornton, United Way's Campaign Chair joined Christine Souders on Second Cup to energize people about the event.
United Way of the Big Bend is celebrating 75 years Sept. 21 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., you're invited to the Donald L. Tucker Civic Center for a luncheon, commemorating those years of service to the community.
It's $25 for tickets, tables also avaiulable for purchase through Monday night.
This benefits the 2017 United Way Community Campaign.
This kickoff is the start of the campaign season and when United Way will announce the theme for the year.
The United Way partners with over 58 agencies and supports over 197 different programs in our region.
It is because of the community, United Way is able to help so many individuals in our community through the work of our partner agencies as well as through community impact programs such as Reading Pals.
