TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Friday marks the 14th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, and the local community is coming together in tribute.
It's the annual 9/11 Remembrance Run 5K Run/3K Walk.
Community members are running and walking in honor of all the fallen and for those who survived whose lives have since been changed.
This year's event also features Luke Murphy, a veteran and author, as a guest speaker.
The 9/11 Remembrance Run 5K Run/3K Walk is Friday, September 11 at 8:30 a.m. There's a moment of silence at 8:46 a.m.
It's at Premier Health & Fitness Center (3521 Maclay Blvd. in Tallahassee). The cost to take part is $5.
Each runner or walker will be given an American flag to wave and display along their route.
We invite everyone to join us as we remember those who suffered and died on 9/11. There is a $5 registration fee to participate and events are open to the community, so bring friends, family and neighbors alike.
