TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Rickards Fall Invitational is back for its 10th year!

Rickards Mu Alpha Theta hosts the math competition each year.

It's run entirely by student members of the club. The competition started in 2005 and has grown to become the largest of its kind, opening up to students in Florida, Alabama and Georgia.

Those involved say it's also inspired some Tallahassee schools to start their own math teams so that they can participate in the Invitational.

The James S. Rickards Fall Invitational is Saturday, November 14 from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. It's open to students from Florida, Alabama and Georgia in 4th through 12th grade.

Registration deadline for students and teachers to sign up for the individual or team competitions is October 16.
