LEON COUNTY, Fla. (WTXL) — In the red hills of Leon County, a beautiful place is helping protect ecosystems in South Georgia and Florida.
Tall Timbers is blazing the trail for other areas across the country.
Tall Timbers researches conducted prescribed burns earlier in the summer, and are constantly working with private landowners to protect land.
They are ending their season now, and will resume next May.
