TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- 2015 may be winding down, but the Florida Historic Capitol Museum is just getting going!
This is busy time at the museum, thanks it part to its new exhibit, "The Best that Nature Has to Offer."
It shows the history of Florida State Parks. Organizers says it also details "the ways that history and preservation have been incorporated in the parks' development, and the important role that legislation plays in the services of the State of Florida."
The Best that Nature Has to Offer is running now through May 1 at the Florida Historic Capitol Museum (400 S. Monroe).
And a holiday favorite is also back this season.
The Holiday Music Series is the museum's longest standing holiday tradition, now celebrating its 33rd year.
Leon County School choral groups perform at lunchtime in the beautifully restored 1902 Capitol.
Performances continue through December 11. There's no cost and all are invited. The museum is also a drop-off for Toys for Tots.
