MOULTRIE, Ga. (WTXL)-- Mothers Against Drunk Driving in south Georgia showed their appreciation to dozens of law enforcement officers, elected leaders, and their volunteers from all around the region at the organization's 7th Annual Recognition Banquet.

Law enforcement officers with the most DUI arrests received awards from the organization.

Corporal Rocky Hancock of Moultire Police was honored as the "Law Enforcement Officer of the Year."

Harris Blackwood with the Governor's Office of Highway Safety helped Gary Robinson, who leads the MADD chapter, in presenting the awards.

Blackwood reminds people if you are drinking alcohol to always have a designated driver. "Get a safe way home if you've had too much to drink. if you think you've had too many then you've probably had a couple too many."

Volunteers were also honored like Dianna and Davy Flowers, whose grandson was killed last year in a suspected drunk driving crash.

They were featured in a WTXL ABC 27's Insiders piece called "Repeat DUI Offenders."
