TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Kids can spend hours exploring the Challenger Learning Center, and now it's the adults' turn!

The group is hosting a special fundraiser, "A Night of Discovery: The Science of CLC!"

It's a way to highlight the STEM and educational opportunities offered... with an adult twist.

For instance, the chemistry lab will be transformed into a "mixology bar." Other festivities include "cocktails smoking with dry ice, a dessert table  filled with liquid-nitrogen-frozen marshmallows and graham crackers, a wall of fire"dancing" to the music in our Ruben's tube; and thrill seekers can test their neurovestibular system with a spin in our Barany chair."

There's also a special presentation in the IMAX Theatre, including the induction of the inaugural class of "Champions for Challenger."

Those involved call this an "out of this world experience" and urge you to get tickets while there's still space.

A Night of Discovery: The Science of CLC! is Saturday, January 30 from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the Challenger Learning Center (200 S. Duval).

Tickets are on sale now for $75. All proceeds support the Challenger Learning Center's educational opportunities.
