TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Mark your calendars now! The 2014 L. Allen Fashion Week will take place February 27 through March 1. L. Allen Fashion Week is a benefit for the Joanna Francis Living Well Foundation.
The week will begin with a couture fashion show on Thursday, February 27 at Krewe de Gras from 6 to 9 p.m. The fashion show will feature formal wear from boutiques and pieces created by local designers specifically for the event. The cost to attend is $35. The event will also feature food and drink specials, along with performances from the FSU Graduate Quartet and the Tallahassee Salsa Dancers!
This will be followed by a night of shopping throughout the Midtown area on Friday, Feb. 28 with food, fashion and a Midtown Model Scavenger Hunt. Participants can pick up their map at the 5th Avenue Tap Room between 5:30 and 6:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. follow the clues through Midtown! At 8:30 p.m. whoever has finished the scavenger hunt will be entered into a drawing worth HUNDREDS! The event costs $10.
The finale will be the 5th annual Fashion's Fight Against Cancer on Saturday, March 1st at The Women's Club of Tallahassee from 6 to 10 p.m. This event features hundreds of ready to wear fashions from local designers and the presenting designer L. Allen, along with the spring lines of some of the top stores and boutiques in Tallahassee. The cost is $35/$45 for VIP, and $40/$50 VIP at the door. The event will also feature food, drinks and live entertainment.
