TALLAHASSEE, FL -- The Early Learning Coalition in Tallahassee is gearing up for their 'Race for Readiness', an event coinciding with September being National Literacy Month.
ELC Race for Readiness features a 5K and 1-mile fun run not only to celebrate the book drive but to provide funds for the early leaning coalition. The goal there is to help in their mission of ensuring children are prepared to be successful in school.
The race kicks off on Saturday, October 1 at 8:30 a.m. at the Southwood Town Center. Registration begins at 7. Proceeds will benefit ELC of the Big Bend Region.
