TALLAHASSEE, FL (WTXL) - The GFWC Junior Woman's Club of Midtown will be hosting their annual Wig Out event this week who have lost their hair.

In an effort to raise money and awareness for children suffering from hair loss, the General Federation of Women's Clubs Junior Woman's Club of Midtown (JWCM) will be hosting their annual Wig Out social event.

Members will be wearing the craziest wigs they can find and going around the bars in Midtown to raise donations.

The funds will be donated to Wigs for Kids, a nonprofit charitable organization that provides custom-made hair replacements to children who have lost their hair due to chemo, radiation, Alopecia, Trichotillomania, burns, and other medical issues. The hair replacements are provided at no cost to children or their families.

The community can help by visiting the Midtown bars this Friday from 6-10 and donating when they see JWCM members in crazy wigs.
