Boys & Girls club of Cairo-Grady County will honor legendary Hall of Famer Jackie Robinson with a fundraising tribute dinner and activities day for kids and families on Friday, March 15 and Saturday, March 16, 2013. The events will be commemorated by the Club reintroducing itself to the community as the "Jackie Robinson Boys & Girls Club of Cairo-Grady County."
Friday, March 15 will feature a tribute dinner at 7:00 p.m. at the Grady Cultural Center. It will include a silent auction, baseball memorabilia, live entertainment and celebrity appearances. Prices vary.
Saturday, March 16 at 10:00 a.m. will feature a groundbreaking ceremony, unveiling of a new youth baseball fiend on Club grounds, a press conference, a pitch-hit-run youth competition and family activities. Events on this day will be held at the Jackie Robinson Boys & Girls Club and are free to attend.
