TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- This weekend is your chance to take part in the first-ever Taloofa Fest!
The festival is similar to a Founder's Day event, celebrating Tallahassee's history and showing off what Midtown has to offer.
There's also a family-friendly adventure run, where teams representing Pensacola and St. Augustine will have a route and challenge stations to test their knowledge of the Capital City.
Taloofa Fest will also feature live music and food vendors. The fest also benefits the Tallahassee Police Athletic League.
Organizer Stephanie Eldridge joined us on WTXL Sunrise for all the information on this inaugural event. Click the thumbnail to watch the complete interview.
Taloofa Fest is Saturday, May 16 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. It's in Midtown (1300 block of Thomasville Road), and the adventure run is in Lafayette Park.
