TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce is just a few days away from the annual awards gala.
The group is recognizing the contributions of minority and women business owners and leaders in the area. The BBMC's most prestigious awards, Chamber Business of the Year and Chamber Professional of the Year, will be presented. Organizers say both acknowledge business and individual member leadership and volunteerism within the community.
Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed is the keynote speaker.
The Big Bend Minority Chamber of Commerce Minority Business Awards Gala is Friday, October 23, from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. It's at the University Center Club Ballroom (Doak Campbell Stadium, University Center, Building B). Tickets are $50.
