TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The 4th of July is all about celebrating traditions, and in Tallahassee that includes the Firecracker 5K and Fun Run.
The Capital City Kiwanis Club of Tallahassee is once again hosting the fundraiser, now in its 33rd year. It raises money to support the Capital City Kiwanis Club's mission of community service, to organizations including Southern Scholarship Foundation, Miracle Sports, Feed the Hungry, Ability 1st Ramp Builds, Elder Care Services Meals on Wheels, and Big Bend Hospice.
For the first time, the Honor Guard of local veterans will be leading the race instead of a grand marshal.
Woody Price, president of Capital City Kiwanis Club of Tallahassee and race director Cole Tessier joined us on WTXL Sunrise. Click the thumbnail to see the interview.
