GADSDEN CO., Fla. (WTXL) -- Gadsden County groups are coming together to connect local businesses with resources to succeed.
It's thanks to a special seminar called "Galvanizing Gadsden – A Business Resource Symposium."
The idea is sharing resources and services with small businesses to help them grow.
That success can, in turn, grow the countywide economy.
Chattahoochee Main Street is hosting the special two-day seminar, and teaming up with the Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce, the Gadsden County Development Council and Quincy Main Street to share that message with as many people as possible.
Events include panel discussions, workshops, a resource expo and a business recognition awards luncheon. Special keynote speakers are Cissy Proctor, the newly appointed executive director for the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity, and Michael Myhre, CEO and network state director for the Small Business Development Centers.
Galvanizing Gadsden – A Business Resource Symposium is Thursday, January 14 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. and Friday, January 15 from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Everything is at the Apalachicola Arsenal Museum & Conference Center (801 N. Main Street in Chattahoochee).
Tickets are $35 or $50 for a two-day pass.
