TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - It's time for the annual Greek Food Festival on October 24 and October 25, and we got a look this morning on Sunrise at some of the traditional goodies that will be served at the event.
The festival began in the 1980's and takes place every year at the Holy Mother of God Greek Orthodox Church on Phillips Road in Tallahassee.
Some of the items being sold at the event this year include Pastitsio, "...a hearty casserole of seasoned ground beef, Greek-style macaroni topped with a creamy béchamel sauce," and Baklava which is comprised of, "...layers of buttered filo and ground pecans with sweet syrup." You can see the full menu by clicking here.
Admission is free and you can catch all of the food and Greek culture from 10am until 10pm on both Friday and Saturday.
