TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- This weekend is a pajama party with a purpose!
The Palmer Munroe Teen Center is hosting the 5th annual Girls' Lock-In.
Organizers say, "This overnight event is designed to empower the next generation of women leaders by encouraging them to grow in their self-confidence, share experiences while building relationships with their peers, and learn from members of the community."
The girls will take part in workshops about self-image, healthy and empowering relationships, and what it means to be a leader.
There's also self-defense class and Zuma; basketball tournaments; a talent show and arts and crafts, plus the sleepover standbys: spa treatments and a midnight pizza party.
The Girl's Lock-In starts Friday, February 26 at 6 p.m. and runs until 8 a.m. on Saturday, February 27.
It's free to take part and open to all girls in grades 6-12.
