TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- If you want some Girl Scout cookies, you're going to have to earn them!
This year marks the 23rd annual Run for the Cookies 5K and one-mile fun run.
The race benefits the Girl Scouts of the Big Bend, with proceeds going toward the Destination Travel Program.
Each year, a different local troop is supported. This time, it's Troop 80's turn.
Organizers say, "This program assists girls in covering the costs associated with the educational experiences and adventures of Girl Scouting. The girls will earn a portion of the funds needed to cover their travel expenses through service in the community; however, they still need your support to make their educational travel experiences a reality."
The 5K is for all ages and fitness levels.
The Run for the Cookies is Saturday, February 13 at 8:30 a.m. at Tallahassee Community College (444 Appleyard Drive). Cost ranges from $10 to $20.
