TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- September is National Preparedness Month, and local leaders are coming together to help get you ready.

The City of Tallahassee is teaming up with Leon County and other community partners to make sure residents are weather aware. According to city officials, the goal is that by the end of the month all Big Bend residents will have the information and tools they need to prepare for any emergency situation.

Information about emergency preparedness will be shared on social media. All month long, we'll also be featuring different topics and tips on WTXL Sunrise.
