The final phase of the Gaines Street project is nearing completion. The segment between Lake Bradford Road, Stadium Drive, and Railroad Avenue will reopen to traffic in time for evening rush hour on Friday, August 8th. The work associated with the Gaines Street revitalization has become a multi-year, multi-jurisdictional project. The funding came from a variety of sources, including seventeen million dollars from the city and 10.7 million dollars from Leon County.
