TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- An upcoming event will help keep the community safe from scammers.
It's almost time for the 2015 Fraud Prevention Seminar. The Florida Department of Elder Affairs, Big Bend Fraud Task Force, GFWC Woman's Club of Tallahassee, Inc. are hosting the annual event.
The goal is to educate the seniors and community on what to look for to prevent frauds, scams, and identity theft, and where they can report it.

The 2015 Fraud Prevention Seminar is Thursday, June 18 from 8:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. It's at the Los Robles Woman's Clubhouse (1513 Cristobal Drive) and is free to take part.
