TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Area veterans have the chance to get free dental care this weekend.
It's part the the Healthy Mouth Movement, a national initiative that offers dental services to those in last. In 2014, more than $1 million of dental work was donated to our nation's veterans.
NASCAR driver Danica Patrick is teaming up with Aspen Dental to help raise awareness. Patrick and and Dr. Jere Gillan, an Air Force veteran, talked to us on WTXL Sunrise about this program and why it's so important. Click the thumbnail to watch the interview.
The free day of dental service is Saturday, June 27.
Local vets can take part at the Aspen Dental at 1415 Governors Square Blvd. You need to call in advance for an appointment. That number is (844) 277-3646.
