Foundation raises money for FAMU Scholarships

TALLAHASSEE, FL - An area foundation is working to raise funds for scholarships that will go to FAMU Students.

It's the Aquilina Howell Dinner is Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Goodwood Museum & Gardens (1600 Miccosukee Road.)

It's $75 per person.

Aquilina Howell was the first black woman to serve as an assistant superintendent in Leon County.

She helped desegregate the district.
