TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Adoption has a life-long impact, no matter the age of the child.

Teenagers in foster care often need guidance, mentors, and a family to rely on for different reasons than a younger child.

While toddlers and babies require constant attention, and help developing basic skills, older children often require a support system to help them navigate their impending journey into adulthood.

Everyday this month we here at WTXL are highlighting children in need of forever homes with help of the Florida Department of Children and Families.

Children of all ages are available for adoption including Joshua.

Joshua is 17-years-old.

He is part of a youth group at the church he attends. Church is a big part of his life. He is also interested in horseback riding, drawing and reading.

He is searching for a family that will support him now and in the future.

If you are interested in opening up your home to Joshua, contact Blair Anthony, Adoptions Specialist Home Finder at the Life Management Center of NW, FL by email at banthony@lmccares.org or by phone at 850-522-4485 ext. 8911.
