WAKULLA CO., Fla. (WTXL) -- Some Wakulla County churches are coming together for a day of food and fellowship.
The ministries are hosting the 10th annual community feast.
It's a chance to bring all kinds of people together to kick off the holiday season.
Plus, in the spirit of the giving season, organizers are collecting canned good donations to help supply local food pantries to support area families in need.
Last year, more than 1,000 people took part. Volunteers also put together 250 "care package" plates for the home bound who couldn't make it.
The community feast is Saturday, November 21 from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. at Hudson Park (21 Ochlocknee Street in Crawfordville).
It's free to attend, but organizers ask you bring a canned good donation.
They're also looking for volunteers to help hand out food, make plates and collect and sort donations.
