TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL)-- The Florida State Bookstore is hosted a huge event in honor of the family favorite, Dr. Seuss. FSU celebrated the release of a new Dr. Seuss story "What Pet Should I get."
Games and activities were provided for the kids of the community including group readings of the new Dr. SEUSS book. Pet adoption agencies and foster organizations were also on site so families could look into adopting their very own pet.
The bookstore manager explained the purpose of the release celebration.
"We wanted to have a release event and we thought it would be a perfect tie in for some local rescue groups to bring some pets out and maybe get some attention. We like to be a real part of the community and do everything we can to give back a little bit," said Alyssa Spencer.
"What Pet Should I Get" is in stores now.
