TALLAHASSEE, FL -- The Florida State University's School of Dance presents 'Once Upon a Home'.

It's a site dance featuring School of Dance MFA candidate Megan Carvajal. Carvajal's work imagines the passing of time, story-telling, and the memories of her grandmother, Mary Cleveland, who passed away in November 2014.

The cast of three dancers, Gianna Mercandetti, Ashley Pierre-Louis, and Carvajal embodies old stories, create new ones, and transport others to an altered dimension through dance theater.

Carvajal hopes that these stories will be a catalyst for audience members to remember their own stories, share them with others, and find joy in the passing of time.

The performances begin Saturday, October 8 with showings at 7 a.m., 2 p.m., and 7 p.m. at Litchgate Tree on High Road in Tallahassee.
