PANACEA, FL - The Panacea Volunteer Fire Department is working to honor those who help serve the community.

The "First Responders Appreciation Day" is September 24th at Woolley Park.

Assistant Chief Marty Suggs Junior and Firefighter Stephen Barry visited Midday to talk about the event.

First Responders Appreciation Day benefits Camp Amigo through $5 donations.

Multiple fire trucks, along with law enforcement, E.M.S., Life Flight, Forestry will be there from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
