TALLAHASSEE (WTXL) — The Leon County community came together to honor it's first responders in the 17th annual Fire Truck Roundup event on Saturday October 4th, 2014

The Jack Harron Firefighter of the year award was presented with a trophy from the Earl Bacon Insurance Agency. The award was renamed after the former Miccosukee Fire Chief, Jack Harron lost his battle with cancer. Harron served 17 years with the department.

The event highlighted the service and dedication of those serving the community. For more information on how you can become a Volunteer Fire Fighter, call the Tallahassee Volunteer Services division at (850) 606-1970.
