FHP Launching Youth Leadership Academy

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Florida Highway Patrol is now accepting applications for its inaugural Youth Leadership Academy.

It'll create opportunities for teens who are interested in law enforcement.

The academy includes sessions on leadership, safe driving, firearm fundamentals, and water and hunting safety.

It's a free program, and students can earn up to 24 community service hours for Bright Future scholarships.
