TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The family of a Tallahassee woman murdered at her workplace is suing the store and its manager for negligence that led to her death.

WTXL ABC 27's Stephen Jiwanmall breaks down why the family claims the store should be held accountable.

"It has been a nightmare. This was the worst scenario that a parent could ever imagine", said Jennifer Battles, mother of Javona Glover.

The 23-year-old was working at the Walgreens at Tennessee and Ocala on August 30th, 2016, when she was stabbed to death.

The man accused of her murder was her ex-boyfriend, Tavon Jackson. His body found in the woods several months later.

The case heads to court Tuesday for a motion hearing. We'll continue to follow this story on air and online at WTXL.TV
