BAINBRIDGE, Ga. (WTXL)--Family and friends remember a Bainbridge man at a candlelight vigil nearly two months after he was killed.

Ervin Flanders Jr. would've turned 28-years old Wednesday.

The family held this candlelight vigil to celebrate his birthday and to make a plea to the public in hopes of finding his killer.

Viola Flanders finds the courage to celebrate her son's life even though her heart is shattered.

"It's just a pain I can't explain, a part of me just ripped out of me," said Viola Flanders, the victim's mother.

At God's Temple of Holy Praise, it was standing room only as friends and family gathered, including his two young daughters.

Candles lit in honor of Ervin Flanders Jr., who's bright smile is unforgettable to those who knew him.

"I'm going to miss my baby because he meant a lot to me and to his mother," said Pastor Ervin Flanders Sr., the victim's father.

Decatur County deputies say Ervin Flanders Jr. was stabbed to death outside of the Bainbridge Shrine Club on October 28. They are looking for murder suspect Dorian Goss.

"Let me say this, that if that were little Ervin I wouldn't have hid him, I'd taken him to jail," said Ervin Flanders Sr.

The family wants anyone with information on Goss' whereabouts to come forward.

"We're still seeking justice," said Viola Flanders.

Viola and Ervin Flanders Sr. say an arrest will give them closure and then they can try to heal their broken hearts.

Investigators with the Decatur County Sheriff's Office also attended Wednesday's vigil.

They tell me they're chasing down leads and working with the U.S. Marshal Service to find Dorian Goss.

They say if you have any information on where he could be, call the Decatur County Sheriff's Office at 229-248-3044.
