TALLAHASSEE, FL- For those looking to enhance their artistic abilities, you may want to check out a summer program put on by FSU's Art Education Department.
Dr. Sara Shields and FSU Student Caiti Ward joined WTXL's Christine Souders on Sunrise to talk about the summer program in the works.
The focus of the program is in art for social justice, including a variety of topics.
It's for 7th-11th graders.
Environmental Awareness, socio-economic disparity, social compassion, deeper connections to a shared humanity and action versus activism.
The program is June 6-9 and June 13-16 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
It's $100 for 8 sessions.
4 sessions are $50.
