Valdosta, Ga. (WTXL) - The Art Department at Valdosta State University is awarding a $500 prize during the opening reception of the 16th Annual All-Media Juried VSU Student Art Competition.
The event happens at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 24th.
Julie Bowland, VSU Fine Arts Gallery director, said more than 80 students have entered 214 pieces of artwork in this year’s competition.
Judge Janis Brothers, a professor of art at Florida Gateway College in Lake City, selected 65 pieces to be featured. The show will run through April 11.
The VSU Fine Arts Gallery is located on the first floor of the Fine Arts Building, at the intersection of Brookwood Drive and Oak Street. It is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Fridays.
