PERRY, FL. (WTXL) - Taylor County honors one of its own.
A ceremony was held to commemorate the valor of a serviceman killed during the Vietnam War.
On Monday, Billy Jacob Hartsfield was honored with a bridge named on his behalf. The new bridge on U.S. 98 over the Aucilla River at the Taylor-Jefferson County line, will be designated as the SP4 Billy Jacob Hartsfield Memorial Bridge.
State Senator Bill Montford, State Representative Halsey Beshears and Taylor County Commissioners were on hand to show support of the big event.
