TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) - Florida State star quarterback Jameis Winston will be honored at an upcoming local event observing Martin Luther King Day.
Event organizers have listed Winston, along with Gregory Grady and Joe Thomas, as honorees for the ceremony. The Inter-Civic Council of the Southern Christian Leadership Council is hosting the celebration.
The event will be held Sunday January 19 at 5:00 p.m. at Bethel A.M.E. Church, located on 501 West Orange Avenue in Tallahassee. This event is free and open to the public
The keynote speaker for the occasion is Dr. Mark Howse, Director of University Assessment and acting Associate Dean of Assessment and Accountability for the College of Education at Florida A&M University.
