TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The Creators Camp is taking a flight!

Creators Camp is a hands-on, immersive experience to get young students involved in STEAM, or science, technology, engineering, art/design and math.

Organizers recently created a new facet of the program, called Creators Camp Flight. Those take part use the five pillars of Creators Camp: creative thinking, critical thinking, collaboration, communication and buildership. Those involved say, "Flight participants are challenged to explore, create and pursue the idea being introduced, and the take-aways are priceless."

The first camp experience is Google Cardboard: Exploring Virtual & Augmented Reality.

This day-long workshop will introduce students to the world of augmented reality. Using Google Cardboard, they'll create a virtual reality headset to explore virtual reality and how it works.

Creators Camp Flight: Google Cardboard is Saturday, November 14 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Everything is at 1938 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd.

The event is for students K-12, and cost is $99 per child.
