TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Premier Health & Fitness Center is keeping us heart healthy with a special event this weekend.

It's thanks to the Heart to Heart Wellness Day.

The special Saturday kicks off with a 5K walk through Maclay Gardens, to and from Premier Health & Fitness Center.

Then, there's the wellness fair, complete with wellness screenings, fitness assessments, and massage therapy.

Non-profit Who We Play For will also be on hand, offering EKG screenings to high school and college athletes. Organizers say, "The mission of WWPF is to reduce the incidence of sudden cardiac death in teens and young adults by providing affordable cardiac screening and increasing awareness."

At noon, you're invited to a CPR, AED and First Aid training workshop. Those involved say it's a good chance for you to learn some of these life-saving steps or have a refresher course, but those taking will not receive a CPR certification.

The Heart to Heart Wellness Day is Saturday, February 20 from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the basketball courts at Premier Health & Fitness Center (3521 Maclay Blvd.).

The Wellness Fair is 9 a.m. until noon. The CPR workshop from noon until 1:30 p.m.
