TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- The community is invited to say thanks to those who protect and serve.
This is the second annual First Responder Appreciation Week across Florida.
In celebration of these local heroes, the group Families Behind the TPD Badge is hosting an appreciation rally.
They say it's a way to thank "law enforcement, firefighters, EMT and dispatchers who work day in and day out keep our families safe."
The First Responder Appreciation rally is Saturday, January 9 at 2 p.m. at the front steps of the Old Capitol, facing Monroe.
It's free to take part and all are welcome. You'll also invited to bring a sign to hold, sharing messages of appreciation.
