TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WTXL) -- Another COCA Connection, where we highlight arts and culture in the community. This week's segment spotlighted Tallahassee Glassworks, who is preparing for an event for right in time for Mother's Day.

The hot shop are hosting two arts & crafts classes happening in town that will send attendees home with an unique keepsake for years to come.

The First Friday Glassblowing Workshops and Contemporary Art Exhibition opens up its doors on Friday, May 5th and continues on Saturday, May 6th.

The hot-shop is located in Railroad Square. Guests can watch glassblower Christian Zvonik show off his talents.

The event also allows guests to make their own glass flowers, cups, or ornaments just in time for mother's day.

The workshops will teach attendees to shape and blow glass to form memorable pieces of art.
